Vintage 1980s Tootsietoy "Swamp Rat" Ford F-150

Even by the time this F-150 monster truck and its vivid "metalflake" paint job were produced in the 1980s, the Tootsietoy company was already more than 100 years old. In fact, it was Tootsie that cast the original metal game pieces for Monopoly!

This is an example of the company's typical offerings by the 1980s, a relatively detailed 5" die-cast based off a popular real-world vehicle with plastic interior and accessory pieces. The underside shows the markings for the Hong Kong factory. This item shows very few signs of being played with; the original paint is very good and the original "Swamp Rat" decals are intact.
