How we got here

We started Wood Wood Toys in 2017, the same year that our first baby was born. As new parents, we found ourselves thinking about toys, where they come from, and how they may influence a child's emotional and physical development. We also discovered that there were very few affordable, well-stocked stores that carried the sorts of toys we wanted to have in our home -- so we started a store of our own!

In those early years, we began by refurbishing lightly used secondhand toys - and we still have a "Previously Loved" section today! We know that a well made wooden toy can last many generations, and every wooden toy that finds a new home means fewer trees cut down, less energy used in the manufacturing and transportation process, and less packaging in a landfill.

We hand-pick products from near and far that combine great value with open-ended play possibilities and eco-friendly production. This includes our Canadian Collection of beautiful Canadian toys you won't find anywhere else.
